ENS Launches EVM Gateway to Enhance Interoperability Between L1 and L2 Chains
ENS Domains launched the EVM Gateway, an open-source platform to improve interoperability between L1 and L2 blockchains.
The EVM Gateway allows L1 smart contracts to fetch and verify state info from other EVM chains like L2s.
It includes a CCIP-Read gateway framework and Solidity library for this purpose.
Key features include modular design, trustless operations, simplicity, and flexibility to change targets.
The EVM Gateway is available on Optimism Mainnet and Goerli for early use.
ENS collaborated with Optimism to launch a sample dApp demonstrating its capabilities.

Record Trading Volumes and Withdrawals Spark Speculation of an "Exit" from Friend.tech
Trading volume on Friend.tech platform exceeded $10M over the weekend, the highest in over 2 weeks.
Industry analyst suggests this may be "exit behaviour" as users withdraw funds from the platform.
Over 5,000 ETH was withdrawn over the weekend, the largest single withdrawal since October.
Friend.tech's total value locked fell 21% to $33.6M over the weekend, lowest since mid-September.
Number of new users has remained stagnant on the platform since late October.
Platform has been plagued by scams as attackers target users through phishing and SIM hijacking.
Over the weekend, 600,000 accounts identified as bots were removed from the platform.
Prominent influencers have reported being locked out of their accounts and losing ETH.
Sentiment appears to be declining as users withdraw funds due to frustration with the platform.

Mode Launches Developer Mainnet
Mode launched its Developer Mainnet enabling developers to deploy infrastructure and applications.
Public mainnet launch will follow in early December with new products.
Developers can access documentation and join Discord channel for support.
Mode runs on Optimism's Layer 2 OP Stack, making it part of the "Superchain" ecosystem.
Revenue from Mode's sequencer will fund Superchain public goods.
Sequencer Fee Sharing module will deploy before Nov 22 for developer registrations.
Developers who deploy contracts during this period qualify for exclusive NFTs.
Highlights of the Week
EigenLayer Launches Goerli Testnet for EigenDA
EigenLayer launched the Stage 2 testnet for its EigenDA blockchain protocol.
Operators can now register to the network and validate transactions for the first App-Verified State (AVS), EigenDA.
Restakers can delegate their stakes to operators to leverage security provided by EigenDA.
Rollups can integrate with EigenDA to explore cost-effective, high throughput use cases.
The testnet will rigorously test functionality, security and gather feedback before mainnet.
Restakers can stake ETH or Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs) and delegate to operators.
Operators can register through the command line interface to participate.
AVS developers can explore the live EigenDA code and demo smart contracts.
Thatβs it for today, folks. See ya next Friday. π§’
